Whether you are looking for excitement or relaxation, Silver Lake and the Silver Lake Sand Dunes is a great choice for a complete vacation. The Silver Lake Sand Dunes nestled between the shores of Lake Michigan and Silver Lake in Oceana County offer sand, sun and fun. Bordering Lake Michigan and Silver Lake, the remarkable Silver Lake Sand Dune Access area consists of nearly 2,000 acres of rolling sand hills 1.5 miles wide and 3 miles long.
Silver Lake Sand Dunes is divided into three sections, the northern area is reserved for off-road vehicles where you can test your vehicle and your sand driving skill. The center region is for hikers and has access to both Lake Michigan and Silver Lake. The southern end is leased to Mac Woods Dune Rides. The Mac Woods Dune Scooters carry you through the dunes for a 40 min ride. There is also public access to Silver Lake for swimming at the Silver Lake State Park Campgrounds. The Little Sauble Lighthouse Park has access to Lake Michigan with parking available.
