Michigan shores meet four of the five Great Lakes: Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, Lake Huron, and Lake Superior. There are also more than 11,000 inland lakes in Michigan. According to the Michigan Historical Center, you are never more than six miles from an inland lake or more than 85 miles from one of the Great Lakes in this beautiful state.
